Australia goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer was set to sign a new contract with Fulham later Thursday, the Premier League club s manager, Mark Hughes, said.
The 38-year-old Schwarzer, who joined Fulham from Middlesbrough in 2008, was heavily linked with a move from the Cottagers to London top-flight rivals Arsenal during the last transfer window.

The LaLiga giants exercised a buyback clause in the deal that saw the 23-year-old move to Goodison Park in 2015 two weeks ago after he impressed while on loan at AC Milan during the second half of last season.
