John Stones and Kyle Walker to miss Manchester City clash with Arsenal

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that key defensive duo Kyle Walker and John Stones will miss Sunday’s title showdown with Arsenal.

Walker suffered a hamstring injury in the early stages of England’s friendly with Brazil last weekend, while Stones completed that game but then picked up an adductor problem 10 minutes into the draw with Belgium.

Goalkeeper Ederson could return to the side for the first time since suffering a thigh injury when conceding a penalty against Liverpool and Manuel Akanji has recovered from a knock on international duty with Switzerland, while Guardiola will make a late decision on the fitness of Kevin de Bruyne.

PEP (On injury updates) Ederson is much better. Kyle [Walker] and John [Stones] are out.

Raphinha on target as Barcelona edge past 10-man Las Palmas

Raphinha’s second-half goal helped Barcelona edge out 10-man Las Palmas 1-0 to close the gap on LaLiga leaders Real Madrid to five points.

Barcelona saw two goals chalked off for offside and Robert Lewandowski hit the bar but Las Palmas had goalkeeper Alvaro Valles red carded for a crude challenge on Raphinha outside his box after 25 minutes.

Xavi’s side were unable to initially capitalise on the extra man but Joao Felix came off the bench and provided a delicately-weighted ball over the top for Raphinha to head into the net in the 59th minute.

BOOM.

Felix could have given Barcelona some breathing room but conspired to hit the goal frame from point-blank range. However, the hosts extended their unbeaten run in…

Mancini: Sturridge should still be at City

Roberto Mancini is disappointed that Manchester City allowed Daniel Sturridge to leave the club.

The young forward left Eastlands to join Chelsea in 2009 after it was reported that then manager Mark Hughes did not wish to meet his excessive wage demands.

After a loan spell at Bolton, the 22-year-old has now carved out a place for himself in Chelsea s first-team, and has scored a goal in each of his last three Premier League appearances.

But Mancini insists that, had he been boss at the time, he would not have sanctioned the youngster s move.

It was strange because Sturridge was developed in Manchester (in the academy) and someone let him go, Mancini told The Mail on Sunday.

For sure he was one of the best young players at City. It was not diffi…

This makes us have the right mentality to face these Euros, where on paper we might be on an inferior level to …

Star Wars Andor Season 2 Will Reportedly Bring Back Ben Mendelsohn As Death Star Architect

LucasFilm has been cagey about which actors will return for Star Wars: Andor Season 2, but it seems that Ben Mendelsohn will be among that group. According to one report, the actor will come back in the later episodes of the season to reprise his role of Imperial Director (and Death Star architect) Orson Krennic.

The Playlist reported earlier this week that Mexican filmmaker Alonso Ruizpalacios told them in an interview that he enjoyed directing Mendelsohn, along with other noted Andor actors like Stellan Skarsgård and Forest Whitaker. Ruizpalacios may have been unaware that Mendelsohn’s return was up in the air, especially since the actor said back in February that he had “not been approached” for the second season.

Often described as the Star Wars show…

Unannounced Super Smash Bros. Inspired Fighting Game Cancelled by Riot – Rumour

Riot Games is set to expand the League of Legends universe further still with a fighting game next year in the form of 2XKO, though reportedly, until not too long ago, it wasn’t the only fighting game set in the League universe that the company was working on.

Journalist Mikhail Klimentov has claimed that Riot Games was working on a platform fighting game codenamed Pool Party that was inspired by Super Smash Bros. before cancelling it earlier this year. Specifically, the company was aiming to focus the game on esports and take cues from Super Smash Bros. Melee in particular, and had a team of 70-80 people working on it until its cancellation in May.

Klimentov claims that though Pool Party <…
